Read This Between Sessions

Updated: Jan 24

Therapy doesn’t only happen in the session.

In many ways, the real work unfolds between our time together.

What we touch in session begins to integrate in the quiet moments of your life—the pauses, the sensations, the choices you make when no one is guiding you.

To make the most of therapy between sessions:

  • Notice your body.

    • Not to fix it—just to feel it.

    • Tension, warmth, numbness, breath.

    • Awareness itself is therapeutic.

  • Slow down when something stirs.

    • Anxiety, emotion, or insight doesn’t need to be solved.

    • Let it be felt in small, tolerable doses.

  • Practice staying with yourself.

    • Especially in moments you’d usually distract, override, or abandon your experience.

  • Let insights land gently.

    • You don’t need to analyze or apply everything right away.

    • Integration happens through presence, not effort.

  • Be curious, not judgmental.

    • Nothing you notice is “wrong.” It’s information your system is ready to share.

Our sessions create a safe, attuned space—but healing deepens as you begin to offer that same presence to yourself in daily life.

Therapy works best when it becomes a way of relating to yourself… not just an appointment on the calendar.

You are not alone. I am available for individual sessions, when you are ready.
